Roland V. Lynch Jr., 77

Roland V. Lynch Jr., 77, of Gumboro, Del., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at the Atlantic Shores Nursing Home in Millsboro, Del.

Born July 13, 1934, Lynch retired from the State of Maryland. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He will be sincerely missed by family and friends.

Lynch was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Helen Lynch of Roxana, Del., and his sister, Diana Huntington. He is survived by a daughter, Sheryl and her husband, David Huffman; a son, Michael Lynch; two brothers, Norman and his wife, Mary Grace, and Barry; a sister, Shirley Collins and her husband, George; six grandchildren, Brittany, Chelsey, Lyndsay, David Jr., Jonathan and Natalie; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at Blackwater Fellowship Church in Roxana, Del., with arrangements by Melson Funeral Services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggested memorial donations to American Legion Post #276; 8068 Quarterfield Rd.; Severn, MD 21144.
